The Eden Whispers is an interstellar anomaly which can be witnessed between Paraíso and the small uninhabited world of LXI-37. Sightings are regularly reported to Sol, UGC and Upyri Federation officials.
History[]
In 2204 the UNGDF vessel UNDS Eden Reflexion had been re-routed from its original patrol course along the western colonies and ordered by the UNGSI to support UN forces on LXI-37 as part of the First Contact War.
During their lengthy jump towards LXI-37 the onboard jumpdrives temporarily malfunctioned, causing the ship to enter a previously uncharted system. While the engineers worked hard to restore the jumpdrive the captain of the ship received numerous reports from various crewmembers regarding "ghosts and other paranormal entities" as well as "eerie whispers" echoing throughout the hall.
While awaiting the jumpdrive to be restored the captain ordered for a system-wide scan. Upon finishing the scan several ship sensors detected an artifical magnetic field being emitted from the single planetoid present inside the system. No lifeforms were detected on the sensors.
Eventually the jumpdrives were repaired, allowing the UNDS Eden Reflexion to resume its course. After participating briefly during the First Contact War the ship was allowed to return to its previous coordinates and investigate the anomaly.
UNGSI Investigation[]
Upon returning to the system the Eden Reflexion entered orbit above the planet. One team of marines were sent down to a structure (which appeared to be the only structure on the planet) to investigate. Upon entering the structure the team located a generator of unknown origin.
Unable to turn it off the team sealed the temple. UNGSI experts later investigated the matter further, concluding that the "ghosts" were infact holographic recordings of an alien species long since gone.
