The Keres Company was a military organization lead by Upyri mercenary Eckardt Rathenau. Founded in 2305, it started out as a simple merc group taking contracts from various factions for various tasks. As time went on, the faction grew in size and influence. Eventually, in the 2320s-2340s, they began to become more of a criminal organization, devolving into acts of murder and extortion to get what they wanted. Eckardt and his men/women became fugitives, and the Keres Company became one of the most infamous criminal organizations in history. The Keres Company was finally stopped in the year 2348, with the destruction of their headquarters (a Separatist Caliburnus-Class Battleship renamed the KCV Eris) and the death of its leader at the hands of bounty hunter Miranda Caine.
