The Kohan Conflict was a war between the Kohan Dynasty led by Darren Black and the Crimus Empire. The conflict led to a number of battles until the war came to an end on 2313 with the assassination of Darren Black.
History[]
2310, with the Crimus growing steady a neighbor faction was weary fearing the future after several considerations. As such a Human named Darren Black authorized the build up of the Kohan's naval fleet out of devoted protection to his territory. The Principality was not fond of this decision. The Crimus communicated with Darren Black, threatening to reduce his navy or face severe consequences.
Darren refused.
A few weeks later the Crimus launched their largest Rau ships to one of Kohan's worlds, Bigon. The Principality opted for war diplomacy. Darren refused to give in from the Empire's demands and orders his units to fire. The Rau Fleet was left in surprise but fired back in response. The skirmish concluded with hundreds of ships damaged and destroyed. Darren Black sent fleets to secure space and set up ambushes as much as he could before the element of surprise died down. Black was confident enough he'll take non defended Crimus world.
And he did.
The Principality was left with distress, figuring out a way to hold back Darren before they lose everything vital to their resources. The Battle of Carcer Tanith was the biggest battle in the war where Darren was set on taking a large strategic planet from the Crimus. The Crimson Brigade made garrisons across Tanith while the Crimson Elite worked towards getting to Darren Black, plowing through. At February 10th, 2312 the Arbitrate Commission discussed the Kohan with the Auditors, suggesting the act of assassination on Black. With Black's achievements so far conquering several Crimus worlds the Auditors agreed.
Darren Black called in every force at his disposal in a full scale effort to take Tanith and force a surrender. With Kohan's forces drastically increasing the world was struggling to keep up with their enemies. Then, during a skirmish Darren and his bodyguards joined groundside to speak of his impending victory. Darren rallied his men until a sniper rifle was dispatched, a projectile piercing his head. The Kohan was left distraught, left in poor morale. Meanwhile the Crimus made their move and pushed back the Kohan from Tanith.
The forces Black gathered were soon overwhelmed without their leader's brilliance and charisma. The Elite spearheaded new operations laying the Kohan in defeat. A week later, the Kohan and the Crimus arranged a peace treaty. The treaty was met on the condition the Kohan would reduce their navy. And so the Kohan reluctantly agreed. Bitter by their embarrassing defeat.
